Continuing its more than 10-year journey of providing charitable limb deformity surgeries, in March 2025, Hong Ngoc General Hospital will once again carry out the “Dream high” program with the support of doctors and specialists from the Nuoy Reconstructive International (USA).

Over 1,000 patients with congenital deformities and post-traumatic complications have received free screenings, nearly 300 successful surgeries have been performed across 10 different medical conditions, and countless lives have been transformed. These remarkable achievements are the result of 11 years of dedicated efforts by Hong Ngoc General Hospital in collaboration with the Nuoy Organization through the "Dream high” program

Nuoy Reconstructive International is a U.S-based medical organization founded with the mission of providing free medical consultations and reconstructive surgeries for children with limb deformities from underprivileged backgrounds.

In March 2025, Hong Ngoc General Hospital will continue this meaningful program and has received numerous surgical applications for limb deformities from across the country. Eligible conditions under the program include clubfoot and clubhand, polydactyly, syndactyly, congenital limb deficiencies, and flatfoot deformities.

The charitable medical consultation and surgical program will take place over 17 days, from March 7 to March 23, 2025. On March 9, specialists from Hong Ngoc General Hospital and Nuoy Organization will conduct direct screenings, classify limb deformities, and determine appropriate surgical approaches for patients who meet the health criteria. From March 10 to March 23, 2025, the hospital will proceed with limb deformity surgeries, covering 100% of all associated costs, including initial screening consultations, clinical and paraclinical assessments (imaging, ultrasound, laboratory tests), and surgical procedures.

During this event, patients will receive direct consultations from a team of esteemed doctors at Hong Ngoc General Hospital, including: Dr. Le Quang Huy, M.D., Ph.D., Head of the Orthopedic Trauma Unit; and Dr. Thu Ba, M.Sc., M.D., Head of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Department, alongside experienced surgeons specializing in upper and lower limb reconstruction, all of whom have undergone advanced training at leading hospitals both domestically and internationally.

"Limb deformity surgery is a highly specialized procedure because the patient's anatomical structure develops differently than that of people without congenital anomalies." In most cases, numerous procedures are required to attain the best functional and aesthetic results. Furthermore, some patients have underlying diseases affecting their respiratory or neurological systems, necessitating extensive preoperative tests and multidisciplinary discussions to establish the safest and most successful surgical strategy for each stage of treatment." — Dr. Le Quang Huy, M.D., Ph.D., Head of the Orthopedic Trauma Unit.
