22/11/2024, Hong Ngoc Gets General Hospital collaborated with GE HealthCare (USA) deployed the most advanced 2560-slice CT technology. This system delivers ultra-fast imaging while reducing radiation exposure by up to 96%, ensuring safety for children and patient underlying conditions.
The cutting-edge Revolution Apex Elite 3.0, an ultra-fast premium CT system capable of producing 2560 reconstructed slices, is the first of its kind in Vietnam, marking a new breakthrough in diagnostic imaging at Hong Ngoc General Hospital.
Hong Ngoc General Hospital and GE HealthCare have transferred Vietnam’s first 2560-slice CT technology.
The high-resolution imaging technology enhances 3D detail, minimizing the risk of missed injuries and improving diagnostic accuracy. The system fully integrates artificial intelligence (AI) to automatically detect and precisely locate blood vessels while tracking drug flow variations in the body. It can also measure concentrations of over 25 substances with high sensitivity, detecting micro-lesions as small as 0.23mm, even before symptoms become apparent.
AI technology automatically pinpoints blood vessels in the body.
One of the system's key advantages is its smart spectral technology, which reduces radiation doses by up to 96%, minimizing X-ray impact on the body and ensuring long-term health protection. This is especially beneficial for patients requiring frequent CT scans, such as cancer patients or children with weak immune systems.
With its outstanding advancement, the 2560-slice CT technology greatly assists doctors in quickly and early detecting a variety of dangerous disease conditions, providing accurate diagnoses even for hard-to-reach areas of the body and enabling timely treatment for patients.
The technology transfer ceremony was held with the presence of representatives from the U.S. Consulate. The collaboration with a leading U.S. equipment manufacturer to introduce the world’s most advanced CT scanning technology has demonstrated Hồng Ngọc General Hospital’s strong commitment to expanding international cooperation and improving healthcare quality for the community.
GE HealthCare is committed to promoting the transfer of leading medical solutions to Hong Ngoc General Hospital.
At the event, Mr. Pham Hong Son, General Director of GE Healthcare Viet Nam, emphasized: “Combining three key strengh: super resolution, ultra-speed, and high safety along with powerful deep-learning artificial intelligence, the 2560-Slice CT system is revolutionizing the future of diagnostic imaging worldwide. Through this technology transfer milestone, GE HealthCare wants to further improve the quality of medical examinations, elevate healthcare services, and set a new standard for healthcare in Vietnam.”
Appreciate the superiority of the 2560-slice CT system over previous models, M.D Trinh Tu Tam, Head of the Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology department at Hong Ngoc General Hospital, shared: “Not only does it provide in-depth diagnostic value for many serious conditions from early stages, such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, stroke, musculoskeletal disorders, and pediatric illnesses, but it is fast scanning time also minimize patient exposure to X-rays, ensuring safety for both children and patient with underlying health conditions.”
The next-generation 2560-slice CT system is officially put into routine operation at Hong Ngoc General Hospital.
With the orientation as a high-tech hospital, Hong Ngoc General Hospital not only leads world-class medical equipment but also affirms its commitment to pioneering new technologies, providing comprehensive and optimal diagnostic imaging solutions to serve safely and effectively for patients.
Hong Ngoc’s heavy investment strategy in human resources and Vietnam's first 2560-slice CT technology show the Hospital’s success in early detection and treatment of complex cases, creating medical mark and continuing to contribute to the development of both domestic and international healthcare.
