✅ WHAT ARE UTERINE FIBROIDS?
Uterine fibroids are benign tumors that develop from the muscle tissue of the uterus. They are most common in women aged 30–50, especially those of reproductive age.
⚠ WHO IS AT RISK OF UTERINE FIBROIDS?
- Family history of uterine fibroids
- Women aged 30–50
- Overweight or obesity
- High in fat, low in vegetables diet, and lack of physical activity
🚨 WARNING SIGNS – WHEN TO SEE A DOCTOR
- Lower abdominal pain
- Menorrhagia or hypermenorrhea
- Difficulty urinating or frequent urination
- Pain during sexual intercourse
- Unusual abdominal enlargement
❗ SERIOUS COMPLICATIONS
- Miscarriage, infertility
- Anemia due to menorrhagia
- Compression of the bladder or intestines
🏥 TREATMENT OF UTERINE FIBROIDS
- Medications to relieve symptoms
- Fibroid removal surgery (surgical removal of fibroids while preserving the uterus)
- Hysterectomy is performed when the disease is severe and there is no longer a desire to have children.
- Uterine artery embolization

- Regular gynecological check-ups
- Ultrasound examination when symptoms appear
- Maintain a healthy weight
- Healthy diet and regular exercise
