When the journey to parenthood is no longer limited by geographical distance
One example of this growing trend is the story of Eric and Alysha, a couple from the United States. After more than 10 years of trying to conceive and undergoing several unsuccessful fertility treatments, they decided to seek care at IVF Hong Ngoc Phuc Truong Minh following a recommendation from friends in Vietnam.
A comprehensive fertility assessment identified sperm quality as the primary contributing factor. Based on the couple’s clinical findings, Nguyen Binh Duong, MD, Director of the IVF Centre at Hong Ngoc Phuc Truong Minh General Hospital, recommended a mini IVF protocol. Reflecting on the case, Dr Nguyen Binh Duong said: “The mini IVF cycle could not have been more successful. All five oocytes retrieved were successfully fertilized and developed into good quality day 5 blastocysts.”
The outcome exceeded the couple’s expectations when they welcomed their first daughter, Eden, in 2024. Two years later, their second child was born following the transfer of a frozen embryo from the same treatment cycle.

Not only international residents in Vietnam but also multinational families are willing to travel hundreds of kilometres in pursuit of parenthood. One such case is Len and her Korean husband. After several years of trying to conceive, Len learned about Vu Viet Hoang, MD, through his online consultations and decided to travel nearly 600 kilometres from Nghe An to Hanoi for an in person fertility assessment.
Following a comprehensive evaluation, Dr Vu Viet Hoang identified contributing factors in both partners. Len had blocked fallopian tubes, while her husband was diagnosed with teratozoospermia. Based on these findings, Dr Hoang recommended conventional IVF to optimize their chances of success. The treatment proceeded smoothly, and the couple achieved pregnancy during their first cycle. Their baby, Kim Ha Ram, was born healthy at full term.

Although the two couples had different circumstances, their stories share a common message: for those pursuing the dream of parenthood, geographical distance is no longer a barrier.
When clinical expertise and technology become a shared language of trust
According to Nguyen Binh Duong, MD, every case of infertility has its own clinical characteristics and requires an appropriate treatment strategy rather than a single protocol applied to all patients. For this reason, individualized treatment has become an important trend in modern assisted reproductive medicine.

At IVF Hong Ngoc Phuc Truong Minh, doctors are experienced in a range of assisted reproductive techniques, including conventional IVF and mini IVF, enabling them to select an appropriate approach for each couple. Supported by an experienced medical team and a modern ISO Class 5 laboratory, the centre has helped many families from Vietnam and abroad realize their dream of parenthood.
The healthy babies born through these treatments represent not only a long awaited joy for families experiencing infertility but also Vietnam’s growing position as a destination for hopeful journeys to parenthood.
